Scuderia Ferrari Strong at Melbourne

Melbourne would again prove to be a great shake down test for the F1 teams. Qualifying was disjointed at best with a rain delay necessitating a postponement to complete the final qualification rounds. Despite a crash in qualifying, Massa was able to drive the F138 back to the pits and would ultimately land in fourth position with Alonso in the 5th spot.

With the surface still damp. Massa and Alonso would both have great starts, both picking up several spots. With the boys battling for the top positions throughout the race, Alonso would eventually land a podium position in second place behind Kimi Räikkönen who would claim the victory. Vettel would fill the third place podium spot, with hard-driving Massa in fourth place only 11.2 seconds behind. This great result for Scuderia Ferrari has placed them in the first position in the all important constructors standings. The F138 looks strong, planted and reliable and is off to a great start.
